This was my first time visiting Elemental Embrace. I almost chose the day spa option, but I’m so glad I stayed for several days instead. However, I enjoyed it so much that I booked an even longer stay before I left the property.

What a gorgeous setting! The spa and the property it sits on are breathtaking, lush, and green. It’s just minutes from a beach, with white sand and soothing waters.

The intense massages were exactly what I needed to work the kinks out from carrying small children all day. And I was eager to try new things, like having a body wrap. The colon hydrotherapy was not on my “to-do” list.

To tell you the truth, I’ve always been apprehensive of colon hydrotherapy, but once I built up the nerve to do it, I wished I’d tried it long ago. I felt like a new person when it was over. The feeling of overall cleansing that it provided went right along with the rest of the treatments that I enjoyed during my stay, such as cleansing my skin in the sauna, cleansing my soul with yoga and meditation, and cleansing my spirit as I walked the labyrinth.

My room was a soothing oasis, with colors chosen perfectly for me. I almost wanted to become a hermit so I could stay in my cozy room and enjoy it, but there was so much to do beyond that doorway.

Back home, spending time at the gym is a luxury I can’t afford with two toddlers to care for, so it was fabulous to be able to use the equipment at the resort’s gym.

I became fascinated with the concepts taught by the Ayurvedic physicians at Elemental Embrace. I wasn’t just another person passing through their doors for a brief while. They took the time to educate me and we established a wellness program that I’m truly excited about. I’m working on losing weight and eliminating stress from my life, and with the skills I learned at the resort, I know I can handle anything.
