SPA REVIEW: The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Spa - Hong Kong
I had been traveling extensively throughout China on business for over two weeks and needed some well deserved pampering. I booked a stay at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Spa with every intention of rejuvenating my mind, body and soul after an intense business trip. And, I was not disappointed!
The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Spa is a unique experience that I highly recommend if you are ever in Hong Kong. Various cultural rituals are creatively threaded throughout the spa experience and I found it enchanting. From the moment I entered the spa, I truly left the chaotic world behind me. I began with Rasul treatment which has a Moroccan origin used as a healing ritual. The treatment started with natural mud being applied to my body and face. Placed in a heated room, the mud dries and as it does it draws out the toxins within the body. After the mud dries, an aromatic steam fills the room, softening the mud followed by a gentle shower.
So relaxing and wonderful…particularly the head and foot massage that concludes the awesome experience. I then enjoyed a signature treatment, the Oriental Harmony. It was just what I needed. I loved the foot bath, then two massage therapist synchronizing strokes to apply a warm body scrub and massage. My body and skin felt renewed! Most needed was the Hydrate facial. All the airplane time had parched my face! I can’t wait to visit again.
