The Average Cost of a Quality Facial at Spas Across America

The average price of a spa facial treatment in the US in 2007 is $75, but prices can climb well into the three-digit range depending upon the location of the spa—Beverly Hills always has been and always will be more expensive than Peoria.

Price, of course, depends on the kind of facial you get.  A mini facial, for example, will take only about half as much of the aesthetician’s time to perform, and so will cost somewhat less, probably around $45.

A specialized “baby boomer” facial that uses eight different kinds of herbs noted for their phytoestrogenic properties and takes a full hour and a half to perform will cost in the $125 range.

The fact is that facials are so customized these days that merely giving a mean average doesn’t provide nearly enough information. There are teen facials that include instruction in skin care for young people at the time of their lives when acne typically becomes a problem; gentleman’s facials designed for male skin; facials that include light skin peels; facials that combat rosacea, and many, many more.

So the best thing to do if you want a facial is to contact several spas and ask for their price lists for the type of facial you desire.
