When in Doubt, Ask the Spa Manager or Director

Are you unsure about various spa techniques, procedures or prices?  If there’s anything that questions or concerns you about the spa, the spa manager is available to address your inquiries.

During a spa visit, you may want to have additional information about techniques used or billing procedures.  A spa manager is trained to properly discuss options and procedures with you, as well as handle decision making situations.  Having difficulty understanding a spa situation should never deter you from enjoying your spa experience and getting the most from it.  Spa protocols can be difficult to understand and sometimes you feel uncomfortable discussing them with staff technicians. A day spa caters to the needs of their customers and a spa manager will want you fully understand and feel comfortable and completely satisfied with your spa experience.

If you would rather not discuss certain issues with spa technicians or staff members, ask to speak to the spa manager.  A spa manager will welcome the opportunity to hear your concerns and handle your inquiries about any spa technique.  Spa management is trained to provide you with all the answers so you can always derive the maximum amount of beneficial pleasure from your spa trip.

  1. I must admit that I am an avid spa goer, an addict some may say :) I personally prefer to speak to the technician or staff member if I have a problem, simply because they are the one performing the service. If though I had an issue that I did not feel comfortable discussing with them, I would most definitely take it to the manager, so I’m with you on that one!

For the past year I have been booking myself in at the spa using WaySpa.com. At this site you can search for spas in your area and even book an appointment! It is really easy to use and I find it the fastest way to get the appointment best for me. I just thought I would give you all a heads up on the site since most people visiting this blog are most likely spa goers like me!

    Thanks for the advice.

  2. Nice post. Basic problem is all spa managers are not trained in Ayurvedic treatments. So called weekend courses or short term training programs are not sufficient to deal with classical ayurveda spa treatments.
In my 20 years of practice as an ayurveda doctor in India and with my extensive traveling around the world to conduct training programs for individuals, hotels, spa and institutes - I have noticed that most of the centers are not offering classical ayurveda.

I am also serving as advisor to ayurveda resorts and five star hotels in Europe, where we train all massage terapists and spa therapists for classical ayurveda and also management staff is included in the training. This should be the approach, before one start ayurveda spa or resort!!

To get classical ayurveda training for your staff at spa or resort, we may help you. Contact us info@ayulink.com . Thank you. Dr. Prerak Shah, Ahmedabad, India
