Take an Impromptu Spa Visit Before You Book Services:
Look for Cleanliness, Happy Customers and Friendly Staff
Going to a new spa can be intimidating because you don’t know what to expect and you can feel vulnerable as you’re lying there on the massage table with only a towel separating you from that therapist you just met five minutes ago. Going to the spa is supposed to be fun and stress-free, so the best thing to do is to visit the spa before you book your services.
Any respectable spa business will happily allow you to visit and take a tour without making an appointment first. If the spa is hesitant to do this, then you should wonder what it is that they don’t want you to see. Of course, if they are overflowing with people, they may just be busy, but they should be willing to accommodate you at just about any time.
When you do take a spa tour, note how clean the spa is or its general disarray. If you come across clients, notice if they are relaxed and happy or if they seem stressed or upset. Also, take note of how the staff treats you and the other clients because that will be the true test of how good the spa is.
